A two-minute honest check-in

What has been holding you back?

Six honest questions about where you are right now. No email needed, nothing is saved, and there are no wrong answers. Just pick the one that's true today.

Question 1 of 6
Does this sound like you?

You're ready for a next chapter. You're not ready to gamble on it.

Five women of different ages and backgrounds shrugging with open palms, with a chef's hat, stethoscope, fedora, graduation cap and hard hat on the table in front of them
  • Your kids have left home, or soon will, and you're rethinking what comes next.
  • You want extra income, replacement income, or income that depends less on someone else.
  • You're rebuilding after a divorce, a loss, a layoff or years of caregiving.
  • Retirement is getting closer and you want more money coming in, or more flexibility.
  • Your feed is full of business ideas and you can't tell which claims to believe.
  • You're willing to invest in yourself, but you can't afford another expensive mistake.

If you nodded at even one of these, the guide was written for you.

The road ahead

Choosing the right business isn't a leap. It's a road.

There are real steps to work through before you can say, “this one fits me.” And a long way to go after that. Here's the first stretch.

1Know what youtruly need 2Check your time, money and skills 3Spot hype andred flags 4Decide whatfits you ...and then the road keeps going. Ready to startyour business
  1. Know what you truly need
  2. Check your time, money and skills
  3. Spot hype and red flags
  4. Decide what fits you

The problem

Every day, someone tells you to start one of these.

  • Etsy shop
  • Amazon store
  • Coaching
  • Drop shipping
  • Digital products
  • AI agency

The pitches sound alike, and they rarely put numbers on their claims. Here is what the pitch says, next to the question nobody answers.

The pitch

“It's so easy, anyone can do it.”

The question nobody answersWhat does “easy” mean in hours? Two hours a day, or six?
The pitch

“You don't need any money to start.”

The question nobody answersWhat does “no money” cost you in time?Does starting with $0 mean waiting nine months for a profit instead of three?
The pitch

“This works for anyone.”

The question nobody answersDoes it work for you? With your schedule, your savings, your skills and the people who count on you?

A good business opportunity can still be the wrong business for you.

Those details decide whether a business fits your life. Most pitches leave them out.

A smarter place to start

Before you choose a business, know what to look for.

You don't need another list of businesses you could start. You need a simple way to sort through the possibilities without getting caught up in the hype.

This isn't about choosing your business today. It's about making sure the next opportunity you see gets weighed against your needs first, and someone else's sales pitch second.

The guide is a starting point. It is not a full feasibility study or a personal recommendation, and it doesn't promise income.

In a few minutes with the Business Fit Starter Guide™, you will:

  • Identify what you actually need from a business in this season of your life.
  • Learn the key areas to consider, including cost, time, skills and the claims being made.
  • Recognize red flags and the unanswered questions behind common online business claims.
  • Begin separating the businesses that might suit your needs from those that don't.
  • Know when to dig deeper, and when an opportunity deserves more investigation before you commit.
Why it's different

What the guide covers that hype sellers skip

  • Real hours: what a business asks of your week, not “just a few minutes a day.”
  • Real startup and monthly costs: the tools, fees and subscriptions that come after the first purchase.
  • Time to first income: how long it can take before money comes in, and what that wait costs you.
  • Fit with your life: your schedule, savings, skills, energy and the people who count on you.

About the founder

Hi, I'm Jae. I've seen what a wrong-fit business costs.

For more than 20 years I've helped set up, run and grow businesses. I started with a private medical practice I helped form in 2002, moved on to a physician-led wellness business, and now work with startups on how they find and keep clients.

Along the way I watched capable people spend thousands of dollars on businesses that were never the right fit for them. Nobody had asked what the business would demand: the startup money, the monthly costs, the hours, the selling, the time before any income arrived.

Then I became an empty nester, and the question got personal. I wanted a practical first step for women who are reinventing their income and are tired of hearing that a business is “easy” or “for anyone.”

  • 20+ years helping form, operate and grow businesses and startups
  • Master's degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology
  • I build client acquisition systems and funnels for a living, so I know how a sales pitch is put together

Truth, not hype. Clarity, not just clever ideas.

Questions, answered plainly

Before you sign up

Is the guide really free?

Yes. You give your first name and email, and that's it. No credit card, no trial that turns into a charge.

Will it tell me which business to start?

No. It helps you judge any business against your own needs, so you can rule things out and know what to look at more closely. Choosing is still yours.

Am I too old to start a business?

Age isn't the deciding factor. Your time, savings, energy and goals are, and those are exactly what the guide helps you weigh.

I'm not very tech savvy. Is that a problem?

Not for the guide. It's plain reading. And how much tech a business needs is one of the questions it helps you ask.

What happens after I sign up?

The guide arrives by email right away. You'll see an optional $49 Business Fit Framework™ offer, and you'll get occasional emails you can unsubscribe from any time.

Do you promise I'll make money?

No. No one honest can. The guide is educational. It helps you make a clearer decision. It does not promise income or business results.
